Kennebunk, ME - Welcome to Sailor’s Cottage!
Less than one mile to the center of Kennebunkport’s Dock Square and even closer toKennebunk’s Lower Village! A convenient location to the best that all Kennebunk and Kennebunkport have to offer. Less than one mile to the center of Kennebunkport’s Dock Square and Kennebunk’s Lower Village, you have all of the fabulous restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars, oyster bars, art galleries and activities just a walk away!


This unique home has been newly renovated and decorated with nautical and historical influences to bring the history of this home to life. Upon entering, you are greeted by one of the two stairwells in the home. You are led into the open concept kitchen and dining area with a mini-split system and a large farmhouse dining table for all of your family dinner and Maine Lobster Bake needs. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need if you plan on cooking from home with a breakfast island for additional seating. Here, you will also find the stacked washer + dryer. For our coffee drinkers, there is an antique coffee station with both a Mr. Coffee and Keurig. 


Continuing through the first floor, you will find the first-floor full bathroom in the hallway. Through there, you will find a sitting/office area for relaxing, reading or if work is needed to be completed on vacation with a drop from antique desk and convenient shelf with 4 USB ports. The office opens up to the den with sliding barn doors for privacy, with a flat screen TV and a NEW for 2023 queen sleeper sofa for additional sleeping. 


After moving past the office and den, there is a cozy living room with a second flat screen TV with a “L- “shaped sofa, ottoman and large coffee table for game nights or snack nights.


Head upstairs on the second of the two staircases and you will be welcomed into the first queen bedroom with small double doors. Continuing through the upstairs, in the middle there is a bunk room perfect for kiddos! In the bunk room there is a bunk bed with a full on the bottom, twin on top and an additional stand-alone twin bed. This bedroom can be accessed from both staircases and does not have to be a cut through for the master or the queen bedroom. Through the hallway, there is the second full bathroom. Open the two double doors and you will be welcomed into the bright and spacious King master bedroom with a large closet, a full-length mirror, two windows with window seats, and more windows for natural light on all three walls.


Back downstairs down the first staircase, off of the open concept kitchen and dining, you will find a bright sunroom with a twin day bed, perfect for napping after a day at the beach or an afternoon on the town (please note, there are no shades or curtains for darkening. Also, this room is not heated in the winter). The sunroom has access to the outdoor patio for cooking, BBQing or relaxing with a fabulous cocktail after your day enjoying the sun! The grill on the patio is a ‘dual-fuel,’ meaning you have both propane and charcoal depending on your preference. The large front yard allows for family fun of croquet, badminton, or any other activity! Travel around the house on the landscaped stone path to enjoy the enclosed outdoor, hot + cold water and rainfall feature, cedar shower to rinse off after a day at the beach! 


Conveniently, the largest beach in Kennebunk, Gooch’s Beach is located just 1.5 miles from Port Road. There are sidewalks all the way either walking to Kennebunkport or the beach! Pack the car with your beach essentials and head to the Kennebunk beaches (parking pass provided). 


Now it is time to sit back, relax and enjoy the Sailor’s Cottage!
